Job Summary:

Provide design and programming support for the
State of Florida DCF project and other projects as requested including design
and programming language consulting and training services. Lead career development application software design,
coordinating the efforts of other software engineers, web designers, and
technical writers. Work with customers
to determine requirements. Determine the
appropriate tools and COTs software given a set of requirements. Perform both high and low level design of
software systems. Implement software
systems. Perform both unit and system
level testing.

Work Scope (Duties & Responsibilities):

  • Develop projects in accordance with Jacobs
    Organizational Set of Standard Processes (OSSP).
  • Participate in the requirements gathering, recording
    and testing processes. Develop
    Software Requirements Specifications (SRSs) and Software Development Plans
    (SDPs) to document the results of the requirements process.
  • Develop project schedules and resource estimates
    through Software Project/Development Plans.
  • Act as a critical interface between development
    teams and customers; identify database requirements.
  • Assist with the coding, testing, and implementation
    of the systems being developed.
  • Conduct the customers system set up and

    User s Guides, Training Manuals, Requirements Specifications, Design
    Documents and Implementation Plans.
  • Provide customer training, resolve user problems.
  • Assist in development of proposals, including
    preparation of estimates for labor, hardware and software.

BS degree in Computer Science or related scientific or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university and at least five (5) years of progressive experience, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training, and certifications. Advance degree desired.

  • Background in software design, implementation,
    testing and documentation.
  • Experience in internet/intranet development
  • Experience with building cross-platform mobile
    application development
  • Experience with multiple software development tools
  • Experience with data import methods from multiple,
    external sources
  • Experience building static and dynamic reports
  • Experience in creating database systems, including
    data normalization and index optimization
  • Experience in writing PL/SQL, including creating
    stored procedures, functions, and triggers
  • Must be able to research and update database records
    using standard CRUD statements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be reliable and committed to completing
    assigned projects on schedule with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to be a team leader oversee other

  • Experience with some or all of the following:
    Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Windows API, Linux, XML, XSL, Apache, SQL Plus,
    PL/SQL, Open Source Systems and Oracle products
  • May require experience with MS. NET
  • Inter/Intranet development
  • CMMI training as assigned by supervisor

Essential Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

Primarily sedentary - Work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA
& approved time off, attendance is considered essential. Must be able to work within the
shift hours of 6:00 a. m. and 6:00 p. m. May be required to work outside of
normal shift hours when required for mission support.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
